Steering Committee
A Steering Committee is an elected body within a local DSA chapter voted into position by it’s members to coordinate activities involving the whole chapter.
Duties, alongside administrative responsibilities, include planning monthly chapter meetings & social gatherings, coordinating chapter communication with local organizations and the community, ensuring chapter compliance with bylaws in digital DSA and event spaces, as well as assisting members and action committees as needed.
The Syracuse DSA Steering Committee members are nominated among chapter peers and voted into positions during a yearly chapter convention. These positions are appointed for a one year term.
